NA My Step Faction Hosts Students of the Royal College of Defence Studies of the United Kingdom

On May 22, the members of the RA NA My Step Faction met with the students of the Royal College of Defence Studies of the United Kingdom being in Armenia on a regional visit in the framework of the visiting educational process.

According to the Professor of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom David Ellery, the goal of their visit is to get acquainted with the problems, challenges existing in the region, as well as the favourable opportunities.

Welcoming the guests the Head of the Faction Lilit Makunts presented the structure of the legislative body formed as a result of snap parliamentary elections in accordance with the free, fair and democratic standards held in our country in December last year, the priorities existing on the agenda of the legislative body of the country that passed into the parliamentary government system: implementation of the oversight function, the improvement of the legislative field, strengthening of the parliament's capabilities, and development of independent experts' and analytical skills. She touched upon the programmes of the Faction, the processes happening after the revolution in Armenia and the procedure of the democratic reforms being underway.

The Head of the Faction and its members answered the questions concerning the guests, related to having independent judicial system, the fight against corruption, the foreign policy being pursued by the RA, the creation of the favourable environment for the foreign investments.

The students of the Royal College informed that before visiting Armenia they had also been to Azerbaijan and Georgia.
